EXCLUSIVE: Interview with Presidential Candidate Buddy Roemer
Buddy Roemer is the first Republican candidate that I’m not hanging my head in shame at supporting. Not that political party matters. What matters is the needs and rights of the people. Not corporations! Once we can come together, us the 99%, and we vote our own candidate is when we’re going to see real change. I understand that there are important social issues like Roe V. Wade and gay marriage, and trust me those causes are near and dear to me. I think we first need to fight for us the 99%, and then work on social justice. There is no way to have any kind of justice in this country when a bunch of rich, old white men are at the helm.
as left wing as i am, i actually think buddy roemer seems like a decent guy. especially compared to all the other republican assholes. i just read about him in the new yorker today and found him pretty interesting. he supports the occupy movement. democrat turned republican while he was governor of louisiana. eh. he only accepts donations to his campaign of $100 or less and takes in as much money for campaigning in a month as romney does in about an hour and a half. capitalist though against the current state of corporatism. he met the requirements of 2% but then was denied allowance in debates because he didn’t have enough money. all the presidential debates are about is money. shouldn’t everyone have a fair shot if they have the support of the people? classic example of how the system is run by money, which is exactly what roemer does not favor.
i hate this country.
